What is Cancer?
‘Our bodies are made up of billions of tiny parts that fit together like building blocks. These parts are called cells.
When cells are healthy they grow and divide. Eventually they get worn out and die. This is normal process and it usually happens all the time without any problems.
Cancer occurs when this process gets out of control. Cancer cells divide too much and they don’t die when they are supposed to. They form a lump called tumour. The tumour can damage the healthy cells surrounding it, making the person ill.’
